Image Sliders

Our February workshop is all about image sliders, and how to use them to incorporate graphics into your websites - after all, this is the Web, and not Gopher.

So come on out and find out about image sliders - we're talking about Frontpage SlideShow, Nivo Slider, and DJ Image Slider and maybe one or two more.  We'll try to give you some tips on using them, as well as preparing your images.

You can sign up for the meeting at, but everyone is welcome even if you don't.

The meeting starts at 7:00PM sharp this Tuesday, February 18, 2014, in Committee Room 4 at the North York Civic Centre, 5100 Yonge St, North York.  Accessible via subway at the North York Centre stop, and plenty of nearby parking.

Here's what's happening in February.

The Night Out is Wednesday February 12th at the Duke of York on Prince Arthur, starting at 7:00PM (although you probably won't see anybody dressed like the guy on the right).

Our February workshop is all about Image Slider extensions for Joomla!

No, not this kind of sliders ...

We're going to look at some of the better known ones, and give you the information to help you make a choice about which one you'll want for your sites.

The workshop will be at the North York Civic Centre, this time in Committee Room 4, starting at 7:00PM on Tuesday February 18th. We're starting a little later to make it easier for everyone to get there, but we're going to try to start right on time.

The next planning Google+ Hangout is Tuesday February 11th at 8:00PM - anyone that is interested can let us  know their G+ ID (see JUGT on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or Meetup) and we'll send out an invitation to join in (at least until we hit the limit on participants). They're also recorded to YouTube if you can't join in but still want to see what we're talking about.
