Meet-Up (Workshop)

Description

Joomla 1.6.0 has been released! The community has been waiting a long time for the 1.6 release, and now it's here. Even though there has been so much anticipation, it seems not too many of us have taken the time to take a serious look through and start to learn all the new tricks and features. It's hard to find the time.

So we thought we'd do an Explore Joomla workshop. Let's sit down as a group and walk through the new features, and see if we can find some answers. There's always a delay between a new release and the time everyone starts to catch up. This is an opportunity to keep ahead of the curve.

Note that the Duke of York – our regular Pub Night venue – has (finally) introduced free wireless. As a result we're moving the workshops up to that venue and abandoning the, um, "unique charm" of Ein-Stein. Some of us will miss it, but that's a distinct minority.

Description

A classic British style pub near the North end of the University of Toronto campus. Good subway access, lots of city parking in a lot just South off Bedford.

The Duke is happy to provide separate bills, offers free wireless, and has a growing appreciation for local food and beverage. This makes it our primary venue of choice.
