Workshop – A workshop is a gathering of users to share expertise. This is the perfect opportunity to ask questions about Joomla administration, security and templating. Bring your laptop and your questions. At the start of the session, a coordinator will poll attendees to get a list of the questions/problems for the meeting. They will then be ordered, from simplest to most complex. Common questions with well known answers will be addressed one on one. The more complex issues will be addressed as a group. Most of the time there will be experienced Joomla folk at the meeting, but nobody knows everything. There are lots of questions where the answer may require some experimentation and problem solving.
The location, just south of the University of Toronto campus, features street parking, additional parking at CAMH (entrance off Spadina), and close proximity to the College and Spadina streetcars (not to mantion a healthy walk from the University subway line).
The venue has wireless access, offers separate bills, and has more then enough room to accommodate a good turnout.
This pub has the elements essential to a good user group event: near a meeting space, near transit and parking, free wireless, and good beer (not always in that order). For the rest we quote their web site:
Guten Tag, and welcome to Ein-stein! Spanning two millennia, the Ein-stein Cafe and Pub has been serving the neighbourhood and university community since 1996. With our relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and comfortable environment, you're sure to make Ein-stein your home away from your home away from home...
Come and join the JUGT group on Joomla People! We hope this will provide a great place for JUGT members to get involved in discussions and build a local community.
